Are you trying to attract search engine traffic to your website through article writing? Then, let me share with you some tips that you can use to make this task targeted and a lot easier for you.
1. Start with keywords. The best way to impress the search engines is to make your articles keyword-rich. So, before you tap on your key board, get to know the popular search terms within your chosen niche. You will need to include these terms all throughout your content so your articles will fare well on relevant searches. You will also need to learn the Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI technique) or the process being used by search spiders in analyzing relationship between your targeted keywords and your article content. Your articles will most likely to appear on the top 10 search page results if you use words that are synonyms to your main keywords. Also, don't forget to count the number of search terms you use to make sure that you will not exceed the acceptable keyword density which is 3% of your total article word count.
2. Build inbound links for your website. Distributing your articles on various publishing sites is currently the best way to generate inbound links for your website. As you know, this is one of the most effective ways to improve your page ranking. Ensure that you use as much hyperlinks (that will take your readers to your website or to your squeeze page) as possible on your resource box or article body (if you are posting your articles on your blog and relevant forums) to boost the number of your backlinks.
3. Learn how to use relevant HTML codes. You can't just post your articles on your website or on your blog. If you want to help the search spiders in analyzing your content, you must use relevant HTML codes on your articles. Don't know how to use HTML codes? No need to worry as there are various resources (ebooks, videos, audio, and even articles) that are available online. You don't have to be computer savvy to learn the trick. In fact, all you need to do is perform a Google search and enter HTML codes tutorials and you'll surely be able to get all the kind of information you need. If you are a visual learner, you may opt to find relevant information on YouTube.
